Prior to establishing The KSD Group, Inc., Ken Defiebre constructed the following projects as a principal of The Santa Catalina School Library Building, a 5,000 square foot mission style library classroom and study hall.
The Santa Catalina Science Classroom Building, an 11,000 square foot, three-story classroom building including lab facilities and lecture hall.
The Santa Catalina Performing Arts Center, a 17,000 square foot, 500-seat auditorium with full proscenium stagehouse and support facilities.
Joe Fratessa was chair of the building committee for the Diocese of Monterey, and in that capacity Fratessa, Inc. provided preconstruction support services to the school during the planning and preconstruction phase of the project. All projects were negotiated on a cost plus a fee guaranteed maximum form of contract, and all contracts were completed on schedule without cost overruns. Ken Defiebre was a principal and chief estimator for J.B. Fratessa Construction, Inc., during the period of time that the projects were constructed.
